Sailing New Zealand. The Day of the Dolphins and a Gloomy Sail South EP33

In this episode , we leave Uruapukapuka Island  and sail around the corner to the beautiful Oke Bay, to wait for some wind to sail south to Whangarei.

We are joined in the bay by a pod of four super friendly bottlenose dolphins, who come to play and stay all day. We have never had a dolphin encounter like it. Extremely playful, they just seemed to want to interact with humans, so we were happy to oblige .

We set sail south on a gloomy, rainy day for Whangarei, where Jo has a rant at a local fishing boat and we are joined by, (yes you’ve guessed it) more dolphins.
