It is a grey, rainy day as we check in to Abaiang Atoll at the local police station. The clouds soon clear and we enjoy some beautiful weather to get out and about and explore. We borrow some bicycles from our new friends Nick and Lisa and head up through the villages to take a look at the very grand ‘Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary’ in the village of Koinawa. Rob sadly discovers some unwanted guests in his chickpeas and we check out the local ‘airport’ for some Friday night fun! We also witness some of the most stunning sunsets we have ever seen 🙂
